Become an FT Governor

Governor Information Pack

Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust is on the path to becoming an accredited Foundation Trust. Foundation Trust status is given to those NHS organisations deemed to be providing high quality, safe and effective services and to be financially viable and sustainable.

A key element of Foundation Trusts is increased accountability to the community the organisation serves. The Health and Care NHS Trust already has around 11,000 ‘members’ and will be setting up a Council of Governors made up of members of the public, Trust staff and members from its partner organisations.

There are 13 seats available on the council for public members and those who put themselves forward will be selected following an election process set to take place later this year.
