We are pleased to announce that the EPP Self Management has achieved the Investing in Volunteers award through the United Kingdom Volunteering Forum (UKVF) from February 2010 to February 2013. This award recognises the commitment and contribution given by volunteer tutors to the EPP Self-Management in Worcestershire. The EPP Self Management Course is a free course for any adult, who has a long-term health condition(s) and who would like to find ways of managing their illness more positively in order to improve their quality of life.
Each EPP Self Management course runs for six weeks, one day per week with each session lasting two-and-a-half hours. It is facilitated by trained volunteer tutors who are themselves living with a long-term condition(s) and have attended an EPP course prior to becoming a tutor. This means they understand the challenges that participants face on a day to day basis.
