Worcestershire Health and Care NHS
Trust's Podiatry Service aims to provide high quality accessible
foot health services for the people of Worcestershire.
- High Risk Diabetic patients; patients with Diabetes who have
identified 'risk factors' following full Diabetic Foot risk
assessment.
- For routine ongoing podiatry care, the priority is for patients
who are most 'at risk' of developing serious complications of foot
problems such as tissue breakdown, infection or ulceration, such
as:
- Patients with significant Peripheral Vascular Disease, advanced
connective tissue disorders, Infected lesions, foot ulceration or
history of foot ulceration, neurological disease affecting feet or
lower limb, Patients with major foot deformities or foot pain.
- The Podiatry Service also diagnoses and treats complex
biomechanical/ musculoskeletal lower limb problems causing
pain and affecting daily living and function as short term
care packages.
