World Mental Health Week 2011,
10-14th October

Every year one in four people experience some kind of mental
health problem.
Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust is committed to
ensuring that people who receive mental health services have good
experiences, feel empowered and work in partnership with
staff about their treatment, care and support.
As part of World Mental Health Week (October 10 - 14th) this
week, Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust is working
with local mental health support groups and charities across the
county to raise awareness of mental health issues and promote more
open discussion of mental disorders. To support this, a variety of
activities promoting both physical and psychological well-being are
taking place across many of our services countywide.

Shrub Hill
From October 6th until November 6th Shrub
Hill artists will be exhibiting work in the Cotswold Gallery,

AIM's (Art in Minds )
A Shrub Hill Project will be exhibiting their artwork
at Bewdley Library as part of Bewdley Arts Festival from October

Robertson Centre
On 12th October 2011 - 12.30 - 2.30 pm a 'jamming
session' will be taking place at the Robertson Centre in
Kidderminister. If you play an instrument or sing or would

Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit
P.I.C.U. Ward Manager, Sven Rouse, has come up with the
unconventional idea of growing a moustache to support mental Health
Week ! As well as this he is doing a sponsored walk in
Malvern. If you would like to sponsor him for his

Improving Access to
Psychological Therapy (IAPT)
services
Stands displaying information and leaflets about the
IAPT) service, will be showcasing in GP
practices all week.
School Nursing
The School Nursing Team are raising the profile of
emotional well-being at middle school. A
series of drop-in sessions for pupils have been

Expressive arts competition
On Monday 10th October, an Expressive Arts session
from 11.00am onwards at held by Studdart Kennedy CMHT, (running all

A carers website is being launched during mental
