Learning Disabilities

Provides adult and children’s respite, outpatient and community contact activity for people with Learning Disabilities and their families, mainly for the population of Worcestershire. Services are delivered by locality between the North and South of the county. There are also countywide professional leads for psychiatry, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers and speech and language therapists. The service operates with a Section 75 agreement, supporting the service to offer an integrated seamless pathway, for people with a learning disability.


Church View Short Breaks
A specialist short breaks service providing short breaks to adults with various degrees of behaviours which challenge and complex health care needs.



Community Learning Disability Team (Bromsgrove/Redditch)

We are an integrated health and social care team providing a comprehensive community service to adults with a learning disability living within the Bromsgrove and Redditch areas of Worcestershire.



Community Learning Disability Team (Malvern/Wychavon)
We are an integrated health and social care team providing a comprehensive community service to adults with a learning disability living within the Malvern and Wychavon areas of Worcestershire.



Community Learning Disability Team (Worcester/Droitwich)
We are an integrated health and social care team providing a comprehensive community service to adults with a learning disability living within Worcester and Droitwich.



Community Learning Disability Team (Wyre Forest)
We are an integrated health and social care team providing a comprehensive community service to adults with a learning disability living within the Wyre Forest area of Worcestershire.

 
Epilepsy/EEG Team
The EEG (Electroencephalography) service offers departmental recordings of routine, sleep and overnight ambulatory EEG to adults and children. A mobile service is offered to visit clients with LD and challenging behaviours at home or in school or day centres if a visit to hospital is too stressful. A copy of the EEG referral letter can be obtained from the department secretary for use by the GP or Epilepsy nurse.



Learning Disability Psychiatry
Assessment and treatment of psychiatric, behavioural and seizure disorders associated with learning disability in adults. Service to children with severe learning disability and complex behavioural or psychiatric problems not suitable for generic CAMHS service.



Osborne Court
Osborne Court is part of the provider arm within the Learning Disability integrated service. It operates four distinct services: Children's short break service, Children's emergency and assessment service, Adult's short break service and a Hydrotherapy Pool.
