Specialist Primary Care

Community Dental Services

The Community Dental Service provides dental care for a range of individuals with additional needs. This includes those with Dental Anxiety or Phobia and people with sensory, medical, physical, emotional, intellectual or social disabilities. The service also provides care for children with behavioural problems, special care needs or those who are vulnerable or looked after children. Carers can find out more about these services by clicking on the tab below.

The service recognises the invaluable role that carers play in supporting its patients. If you are a carer who looks after someone who accesses the Community Dental Service, please let a member of staff know. We can support you in your role and signpost you to further information, advice and support specifically for carers

Specialist Care - Sexual Health Service Carer Support

Sexual Health Staff recognise the importance of Carers enabling someone they support to attend our service, whether it is to aide transportation or access, physical, emotional or understanding support or to reduce any other barrier. We ensure our patients give their consent to share any information, even with their own GP. We always give supported patients an opportunity to speak to the clinician on their own during a consultation.

We also offer outreach services for any patient/client who cannot access our clinics for contraception and some procedures as well as a separate outreach service for young people. Our counselling service is flexible when making appointment arrangements and we support learning & physically disabled clients by seeing them at home or school if appropriate and work with the family/carers to deliver the service.

As a Carer, if you have any questions or concerns about our service, we encourage you to contact the appropriate clinic or to speak a Health Promotion Specialist at Isaac Maddox House on 01905 681744 for further information or details. You can also view information on our website www.playinitsafe.co.uk or ring our helpline during business hours on 0800 78302936.
