CH Visiting times button

We encourage relatives and friends to visit and there is open visiting between the hours of 2pm until 7pm.

Outside of these hours we are happy to still receive visitors to the ward but we would respectfully request that you speak with the Ward Manager or Nurse in Charge to arrange this. Staff will be receptive to your wishes as they understand that some of you may wish to participate in the care of your relative or help them at meal times.

We understand that some may have to travel a distance for visiting and that others may wish to remain on the ward for longer periods of time, particularly if your relative maybe coming to the end of their life. If there is a need to remain on the ward, there is a relative’s room which you may wish to use as a place to relax.

Whilst we welcome and recognise the importance of family and friends in the recovery process, our priority is providing the best possible care and outcomes for our patients. Therefore, we will tailor our visiting hours to suit their needs and although we are very happy for relatives and friends to visit, we would ask that you are mindful of the intense therapy input that is required and subsequent fatigue they may feel.

Please speak to the Ward Manager/Nurse in charge for details of the planned care for your relative.
