Adult Domiciliary Physiotherapy

Domiciliary Physiotherapy is provided in a person's home environment for individuals registered with a Worcestershire GP and

  • Whose condition prevents them accessing physiotherapy outside of their home environment

  • Whose physiotherapy need is best met at home

Physiotherapy uses exercise, manual therapy, education and advice to help restore movement and function when someone is affected by injury, illness or disability.

Physiotherapy is a science-based profession and takes a ‘whole person’ approach to health and wellbeing, which includes the patient’s general lifestyle.

At the core is the patient’s involvement in their own care, through education, awareness, empowerment and participation in their treatment.

Management will include assessing the patient and their ability to function in their home environment. A treatment plan will then be formed based on patient centered goals.
