Committed to quality improvement and innovation, there is a well established QI programme which supports engagement and collaborative working across the local health care system. We have prioritised wellbeing as a Trust, with regular Schwartz Rounds and support for newly recruited medical staff to grow professionally. In addition to peer groups and mentoring available within the region, a new buddying system is being established for those newly appointed to the Trust. Informal conversations with the team and shadowing established colleagues is also actively encouraged.
The Trust has a well-established teaching infrastructure and feedback from our psychiatry trainees is excellent. Research is very much encouraged and the Trust research team has well established links within the West Midlands. All medical staff are supported by a nurturing Medical Management and Directorate Team across Medical HR, Appraisal, Revalidation, and CPD. It is essential you meet the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ criteria for appointments to these posts.
