Virtual Reading Panel
Can you help us make our documents easier to read and use?
4 in 10 people struggle to read and use our local health information. By making our documents easier to access, read and use we can help.
This will improve the safety, care and experience of our patients. It will also save us time, and money.
The virtual reading panel is a group of patients, carers and local people. They live in Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Anyone over the age of 18 can join. We aim to make sure our services are the best they can be.
How much time will I need to give?
There is no time promise. You can spend as much, or as little time as you can. The project will take at least 18 months. We will send you documents by email. If you have the time, you can review these and email back comments. Each will have a deadline for comments. This is normally 3 weeks.
What training will I get?
You will be trained in Health Literacy. This will take around 1 hour on a video call. This can be on your own, or as part of a group.
Will I be paid?
No, this is a volunteering role.
Which services will I be helping?
We support all services within the Trust. This includes,
- Community care and hospitals,
- Children and young people’s services,
- Mental Health,
- Learning Disabilities,
- Sexual health,
- Emergency dental care.
