Alert - Malvern, Evesham and Tenbury MIUs temporarily closed
Our Minor Injury Units (MIUs) in Evesham, Malvern and Tenbury are closed until further notice. Please visit the NHS111 website for advice on treatment for a minor injury.
During this time staff in the units will be redeployed into Community Hospitals which are experiencing higher than normal demands. The decision has been agreed by the local health and care system to increase staffing capacity in community hospitals, which is part of series of measures in response to pressures being felt across the local healthcare system.
The MIUs at Kidderminster Hospital and Treatment Centre and at the Princess of Wales Community Hospital in Bromsgrove are unaffected and will remain open as normal. The MIU in Kidderminster is open 8am till 10pm, 7 days a week, and the Unit in Bromsgrove is open Monday to Friday 8am until 8pm and from 12pm until 8pm on weekends. For more information about the MIUs in Bromsgrove and Kidderminster visit www.hacw.nhs.uk/MIU
Welcome to Evesham Community Hospital
What are community hospitals/rehab units?
We have seven community hospitals/rehab units across Worcestershire. They provide a range of inpatient and outpatient services and support people to recovery from surgery or illness when they don't require acute care but neither can they be treated at home. They are a key part of our local healthcare system.

Outside of these hours we are happy to still receive visitors to the ward but we would respectfully request that you speak with the Ward Manager or Nurse in Charge to arrange this. Staff will be receptive to your wishes as they understand that some of you may wish to participate in the care of your relative or help them at meal times.
We understand that some may have to travel a distance for visiting and that others may wish to remain on the ward for longer periods of time, particularly if your relative maybe coming to the end of their life. If there is a need to remain on the ward, there is a relative’s room which you may wish to use as a place to relax.
