Currently CAMHS only accept referrals from Professionals working with Children and Young People where there is concern that the Child/ Young Person has a Mental Health problem. Most of our referrals come from GPs however we find it more helpful when the person who knows the Child and the concerns better makes the referral. We prioritise appointments based on the Mental Health need and not who referred to CAMHS. If you are unsure whether the concerns you have will be suitable for CAMHS you can either call or email SPA telephone number : 01905 768 300 or Email: WHCNHS.CAMHS-SPA@nhs.net If we feel that we are not the right source of help for you we may try to make other suggestions of support which could be useful.

We are currently reviewing how we safely support our patients during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Government are asking everyone to be vigilant to try to delay the spread of the virus. In response to this we have made the decision to where appropriate move to telephone or teleconferencing in place of face to face appointments.
From the 23rd of March we will be moving to a telephone based system, this means that our clinicians will consult with both you as the referrer and families over the phone. To support this and aid information being passed easily to our patients and their families please secure an up to date email address for these families and include this with your referral.
We thank you for your support.
Referrals are taken from Professionals via CAMHS SPA (Single Point of Access).
