About the service
Worcestershire Community Dental Service delivers urgent dental care for patients who do not have their own dentist. They also deliver special care and paediatric dentistry.
Are you in pain?
You may need urgent dental care if you have:
- Severe toothache that stops you from sleeping or eating.
- A painful swelling in your mouth or face.
- A knocked-out or broken tooth.
- Bleeding that won’t stop after a dental procedure.
- Signs of infection (swelling, fever or spreading pain).
Urgent help
People without a dentist but who have an urgent dental problem should call our urgent dental triage line.

We do not accept walk in patients.
What to do outside these hours
To get an Out of Hours Urgent Dental Care appointment you will need to call 111 for a referral. Call NHS 111 or visit the NHS111 website for urgent dental advice 24/7. NHS 111 will assess your symptoms and direct you to the right care.

- Heavy bleeding that won’t stop.
