Occupational Therapy – The Mobile Assessment Unit

This is a countywide service in Worcestershire only. We assess people in their own homes and address any difficulties that they may be having in their everyday lives i.e. carrying food and drink, getting up from their chair, or walking up/down stairs. We have vans stocked with equipment (chair raisers, toilet and bathing equipment) which can be provided on the day of our visit. We also measure for rails and other minor adaptations.

About the service

We have vans stocked with equipment (chair raisers, toilet and bathing equipment) which can be provided on the day of our visit. We also measure for rails and other minor adaptations.
Direct referrals are not accepted by this team. Occupational Therapy referrals need to be made via the relevant OT hub or Neighbourhood team who will then refer to us if appropriate.
We assess low level need only. We do not take urgent referrals or deal with major adaptation or manual handling issues.
