Specialist CAMHS (Tier 3 CAMHS)

CQC rated good 2019_CAMHS1 Specialist CAMHS is a multi-disciplinary team made up of Psychiatrists, Nurses, Social Workers, Psychologists all with specialist training of working in mental health with children and young people. Our aim is to assess and treat those with significant mental ill health in order to promote recovery.

How to access the service

Referrals are to be sent to CAMHS SPA (Single Point of Access) by a Professional who works with the child or young person where there are significant concerns regarding a possible mental health illness.

The Professional must explain the mental health concern and that they have tried to resolve the issues via lower level services and resources, such as utilising the Emotional Wellbeing toolkit. The child must have a Worcestershire GP, be aged from 0- 17.5 years of age and their family must consent to the referral being made.
