Home Treatment Teams (Worcestershire)
-
The Home Treatment teams work with patients during acute episodes of mental illness or mental disorder to provide an alternative to psychiatric hospital admission.
About the service
Who we are
We are the Home Treatment Team. We help people who are going through a difficult time with their mental health.
What we do
We support you when your mental health problems suddenly get worse. We give support to stop you needing to go into a psychiatric hospital.
How we help
• We work with community mental health teams to help people in crisis.
• We also help early, to stop mental health problems from getting worse.
• We work closely with hospital wards. This is to see who can safely keep having treatment at home.
• We support people to leave hospital earlier when it is safe to do so.
Working together
We urge you to take an active part in your treatment. This includes the people who care for you. We want to help you feel more confident and in control of your recovery.
