Extended x-ray services confirmed across Easter weekend at Bromsgrove and Malvern Minor Injury Units
Extended Minor Injury Unit x‑ray services at Princess of Wales Community Hospital in Bromsgrove and Malvern Community Hospital will be available throughout the Easter bank holiday weekend, from Friday 3rd to Monday 6th April 2026.
This follows a successful extended offer in March, which saw x‑ray services available for patients across most Saturdays and Sundays.
Dawn Shaw, MIU Team Lead at Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, said: “Bank holidays are often busy for both families and local services, and people aren’t always sure where to go for help. By extending x‑ray services throughout the Easter weekend, we’re making it easier for people to get the right care quickly for minor injuries, while also easing some of the pressure on our emergency departments at a particularly busy time.”
Please note that all patients will be assessed by the MIU team first. X‑rays are not available as a walk‑in service.
MIUs are open throughout weekends and bank holidays, treating injuries such as sprains, simple fractures, cuts, burns, minor head injuries and wound infections. Using your local MIU when appropriate helps reduce waiting times and keeps emergency departments free for more serious cases.
