Sheri Moule, Apprenticeships Officer was awarded ‘Employer Apprentice Champion’ for her work in supporting the Trust’s apprentices across Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

As part of her role, Sheri is responsible for overseeing all apprentices at the Trust and managing a wide range of existing and new apprenticeship programmes.

Luc Petit, who recently completed an apprenticeship within the Trust’s Learning and Development Team, was presented with the ‘Commerce Personal  Development Award’ for successfully completing his apprenticeship and going on to secure a permanent position with the Trust’s IT department.

The Trust has a history of success with its apprenticeship programmes, winning the Large Apprenticeship Employer of the Year in 2022, and being nominated for five categories at the Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards last year.

Sheri said, “Such accolades are a great way to celebrate our incredible non- clinical staff who have completed their apprenticeships. We have some truly fantastic staff who continue to develop, and as part of their programmes have already introduced positive changes in their day-to-day roles.” Luc holding his trophy

“I’m also very proud of Luc and how far he has come in his career journey. He is a beacon of inspiration to others looking to start their career journey through an apprenticeship or people already in work aiming to improve their knowledge and skills. Well done, Luc!”

Ally Middleton, Head of Education and Clinical Development at the Trust said, “Anyone who decides to pursue an apprenticeship with us, will truly be able to see the impact of their hard work, the effort we put in to give them the best experience possible, and ultimately how this helps provide the best care to our patients and service users”.

The Trust is proud to offer a range of different apprenticeship programmes and non-traditional routes into the NHS, with apprenticeships forming an important part of the development journey for both new employees and the existing workforce.
