Need advice about your child? Worcestershire's health visiting team are only a text message away

Text Parentline 07312263547

Parents and carers across Worcestershire are being encouraged to make use of the Health Visiting Parentline text service.

This is a free service that allows parents and carers with children and young people aged 0-19 years to send a text message directly to their health visiting team.

They can get advice, without needing to wait on the phone, about a range of topics like feeding, child development, toileting, sleep, emotional wellbeing and behaviour.

The service is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, by texting 07312 263547.

Laura Edmead, Team Lead and Open-Door Lead for Worcestershire's Health Visiting Service, said: "We know that parents and carers are often juggling busy family lives and may not always have the time or opportunity to sit on a phone call. Parentline offers a simple, easy way to get advice and support directly from our Health Visiting Teams via text."

"We would encourage families to save this number in their phone so support is always just a text away".

Alongside Parentline, families can continue to access support through the Telephone Advisory Service (TAS) on 01905 520032, available Monday to Friday 9am to 1pm.

Another option is for people to contact their Health Visiting Team directly by email:
