One of Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust’s Worcester city buildings will soon feature a creative new mural, painted live as part of Worcester Paint Festival this September.
Nature-inspired artist Lucas Antics will be painting a large-scale mural directly onto Warndon Clinic on Cranham Drive, live for the public to see.
The main festival takes place on Saturday, 20th September, where you can see street and graffiti artists bringing their work to life across Worcester with bold new designs. You will be able to see Lucas Antics at work at Warndon Clinic on this day.
Kate Wood, Community Engagement Manager for the Trust and lead for the project, said, “We’re excited to see one of our city centre buildings become part of Worcester Paint Festival. Art brings people together and research shows it has a positive effect on our overall mental health and wellbeing. We hope this mural brightens the day of anyone who passes by, including our staff, patients and the wider community.”
“We are excited to work with the NHS Trust at this Warndon Clinic, pairing the amazing South West artist Lucas Antics with the space here. We hope it will bring joy to the community and building users and make people smile ” said Kate Cox, Director of Worcester Paint Festival. "Worcester Paint Festival is now in its 5th year, with less city centre murals but more community engagement. We strive to bring people together and tackle social barriers via the murals we curate, helping to create safer and happier environments for everyone.”
The artwork will remain in place after the event, becoming a permanent feature on the building for all to enjoy.
To view all of the murals for 2025, you can pick up a map from Worcester Tourist Information Centre on the high street, or at the HQ on Saturday, 20th September at Crowngate Shopping Centre, Friary Walk in the Pod.
