About the service
The Child Development Team (CDT) is a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency team of professionals working with pre –school children with additional needs. Representatives from these professional groups meet to briefly discuss the children referred to identify the needs and develop a coordinated plan and future provision.
Children can be referred for discussion by any member of the Child Development Team via the CDT administrators based at the CDCs. The Administrators then request information prior to the meeting from Professionals working with the children, nurseries, health visitors and most importantly the parents/ carers. Following the meeting a Care Plan is identified for the child for future care and support.
