Multiple Sclerosis Specialist Nurse Service

  • Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is the most common disabling neurological disease affecting young adults, most being diagnosed before the age of 40. MS is a frustrating and unpredictable disease. Typical symptoms are numbness, tingling and spasms in limbs, loss of balance and mobility, difficulty with memory, concentration and fatigue, problems with vision and bladder control. Whilst MS is currently incurable, it is not untreatable. There are now many drug therapies and treatment which can help alleviate some symptoms.
