Guidance for professionals in Herefordshire and Worcestershire
This referral form is for patients who may benefit from support from NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire Talking Therapies, a service for adults experiencing common mental health difficulties such as anxiety and depression.
The service is available to people aged 16 and over who are registered with a GP in Herefordshire or Worcestershire.
For patients requiring a mental health diagnosis, medication advice, or support for more severe and enduring mental health conditions, please refer to the appropriate Neighbourhood Mental Health Team.
Before making a referral, we encourage professionals to visit the Talking Therapies website, where you can find detailed information about:
- Conditions and difficulties that can and cannot be treated by the service
- The range of therapies, courses and treatment options available
- Eligibility criteria and referral guidance
- Frequently asked questions from both patients and professionals
Please note that NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire Talking Therapies is not an urgent service and waiting times may apply. If a patient requires immediate mental health support or there are concerns about their safety, contact the Herefordshire and Worcestershire 24-hour Mental Health Helpline by calling 111 and selecting the mental health option.
