A new website has been launched to support people struggling with their mental health to access help, advice and support.

The Now We’re Talking campaign is led by the area’s main mental health provider, Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, together with other organisations and aims to reduce the stigma of mental health, as well as promote the range of support available for local people.

The Now We’re Talking website – www.nowweretalking.nhs.uk – now puts all this information in one place, helping people navigate to the right support as quickly as possible. This includes links to community support, online courses which people can access for free straight away, and NHS services provided by the Health and Care NHS Trust.

The website also features a new downloadable resources library, including information posters which highlight the support ‘on a page’. The aim of the posters are to simplify what mental health support is available at varying stages, and how to access it.

Gary Morgan, Head of Communications at Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, said: “The Now We’re Talking website has been developed to provide lots of information in one place on the range of mental health support and resources available.

“It also has an extensive range of self-help guides which can help people struggling with issues such as stress, anxiety or lack of sleep. We have heard consistently from people that it can be hard to know just what help is available, and we hope the Now We’re Talking website will help make navigating things much easier.”

Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust also runs a 24/7 mental health helpline for anyone in need of urgent advice and support which can be accessed by calling 01905 681 915 (24 hrs a day, 365 days a year).
