An update on a number of projects and developments taking place at the Trust at the start of 2020. 

Community Hospitals are really loved and valued by the communities they serve and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust which runs them is asking for ideas and thoughts on how they can be developed and used even more.

A new partnership led by Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust has secured the contract to deliver public health nursing services for children, young people and families across Worcestershire.

Children supported by Worcestershire’s Orchard Service ​- the County's Children's Community Nursing and Palliative Care Team were treated to a fun-filled performance on Friday, as the cast of Starlight UK arrived in Droitwich to perform their adaptation of panto classic Aladdin.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among females in the UK, yet women with a learning disability who are eligible for breast screening are the least likely to attend. The Worcestershire Community Learning Disability Team are working to improve this statistic for women living in the county.

Groundbreaking technology will offer children and their families a new way to see inside the Acorns Three Counties children’s hospice. Working with Acorns Children’s Hospice and Owl 360, we have created a 360-degree virtual reality tour of the hospice facilities. 

The Trust recently pledged to support the national NHS LGBT+ campaign. The commitment commits to having an open, non-judgmental and inclusive culture, supporting those who identify as LGBT+.

Visitors to Worcester City Centre are invited to learn how to save someone’s life, by being trained in delivering basic CPR. The event is being held in aid of World Restart a Heart Day which takes place on 16th of October each year.

The ReSPECT process is a new approach to encourage people to have conversations about the future with those important to them and the Healthcare Professionals looking after them, to create an individualised plan to try to ensure that they get the right care and treatment in an anticipated future emergency.
